I am trying to install Vmware esxi 5.1 (or better, 5.5) on a new TD340 tower server. Unfortunately, with the LSI raid setup, vmware ignores the virtual drive and shows both physical drives for installation. I have tried using the easy setup disc from Lenovo as well as bypassing and simply using the vmware install disc natively. So far, all ways I've tried still show both physical disks for installation, which of course doesn't work when I try to boot the server. Does anyone have any help on how to setup RAID on this server such that I can actually use on vmware? Thanks in advance!
